Terms

The rules for using the Cueflow app and this website, in plain words. Your content stays yours; you must have the rights to what you bring in.

Last updated Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer

The short version

  • You own what you make. Your scripts, your takes, your videos are yours.
  • You must have the rights to what you bring in. Only import video, scripts or briefs you are allowed to use.
  • Subscriptions renew until you cancel, in your App Store settings.
  • AI output is a draft. Check it before you publish it.
  • Be decent. No unlawful content, no scraping, no breaking the app.

Who we are and what this covers

These terms are a contract between you and Cueflow, operated by Nave Bergsma, Postal address available on request via support@get-cueflow.com (“Cueflow”, “we”). They cover the Cueflow iPhone app, including its Share Extension, and the website at get-cueflow.com. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Cueflow.

Because the app comes from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms give you less than Apple’s minimum terms require, Apple’s terms win.

How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cueflow, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Your licence to use Cueflow

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store rules allow. The licence lasts as long as you follow these terms. We can end it if you do not.

You may not copy, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the app, take it apart to see how it works, or build something that pretends to be it.

Your account

You can use the teleprompter, record, caption and export without signing in. Features that use our servers create an account for you, and you sign in with Apple when you subscribe. Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in method.

Keep your device and Apple ID secure; what happens through your account is your responsibility. One account per person. A Studio plan includes three seats for three people; you may not share one seat between several people.

Plans and subscriptions

Cueflow has a Free plan and three paid plans: Creator, Pro and Studio. What each includes, and the current prices, are on the pricing page and on the paywall inside the app. The App Store shows the exact price in your currency before you buy.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.

  • Apple handles the money. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, and at the start of each new period. Refunds are Apple’s decision under Apple’s rules; ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds for the rest of a period.
  • Restore purchases from Settings in the app if you get a new phone or reinstall.
  • Price changes. If a price goes up, Apple tells you first and asks you to agree before you are charged the new price.
  • Free plan limits. Free includes the teleprompter, recording, one caption style and three exports a month with a Cueflow watermark. Removing or hiding the watermark other than by upgrading is not allowed.

AI-minutes. Pro includes 300 AI-minutes a month and Studio 1,000. One AI-minute is one minute of footage processed by an AI feature (an AI edit, a typed edit, a remix or the talking-point check). The count resets on the first day of each month, unused minutes do not roll over, and when you reach the cap the AI features pause until the next month or an upgrade. Captions and standard trimming never use AI-minutes.

Your content

Everything you record, write or import in Cueflow is yours. We claim no ownership of your scripts, takes, transcripts, brand kits or finished videos, and no rights to use them in our marketing without asking you.

Your video and audio stay on your phone; we never receive them. When you tap an AI feature, you give us permission to send the transcript and the text you typed to our servers and our AI model provider, only to produce the result you asked for and return it to you. That is the whole licence you give us.

You are responsible for your content: for having the rights to it, for what is in it, and for where you publish it.

What you may not do

A short list. Breaking it can end your account.

  • Import or use content you do not have the rights to. Any video, script or brief you bring into Cueflow must be yours or used with permission. The app reminds you of this the first time you import; it stays true every time after.
  • Film people without their consent where the law requires it.
  • Make unlawful content: anything that is illegal where you or your audience are, that harasses or threatens people, that is hateful, that sexualises minors, that impersonates someone, or that is deceptive advertising.
  • Scrape. Do not use Cueflow or our servers to download other people’s videos, collect data from social platforms, or fetch content from links. The app does not do this and neither may you through it.
  • Attack or overload the service: no automated access, no probing our servers, no reverse engineering, no getting around plan limits, AI-minute caps, the watermark or seat counts.
  • Resell the app, your account or our AI features as your own service.

AI features and their output

Scripts, hooks, remixes, edit plans and coverage checks are produced by an AI model. AI models make mistakes. They can write something untrue, miss a talking point, suggest a cut that changes your meaning, or produce text similar to text someone else wrote.

Treat AI output as a first draft. Read it before you say it to camera, and watch the edit before you post it. You decide what is published, so you are responsible for it: for claims about a product, for required disclosures such as marking paid partnerships as ads, and for following each platform’s rules.

We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, original, free of third-party rights, or fit for a particular brand brief. Nothing Cueflow produces is legal, medical or financial advice.

Working with brands and clients

Cueflow is a tool. Your deals with brands, agencies and clients are between you and them: the brief, the deliverables, the deadlines, the payment. We are not a party to those agreements and are not responsible for whether a video meets a brief or whether you get paid. A coverage check is help, not a guarantee.

Our content

The Cueflow app, website, name, mark, caption styles, templates and the code behind them belong to us or our licensors. Using Cueflow does not give you any of it beyond the licence above. Videos you make with the caption styles and templates are still fully yours.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Cueflow without owing you anything. We will not claim you wrote something you did not.

Apple

Apple asks every app on the App Store to say the following, so here it is in plain words:

  • This agreement is between you and Cueflow, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet a warranty, you can tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, any warranty claim is ours to handle, as far as the law allows.
  • Claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance and consumer protection, are ours to deal with, not Apple’s. So are claims that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property.
  • You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo or listed as a prohibited party.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  • You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, for example the rules of the platform you post to.

Ending things

You can stop using Cueflow at any time. Delete the app, and delete your account from Settings if you have one. Cancel any subscription in your App Store settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.

We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we shut Cueflow down. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will try to give you notice and you can ask Apple about a refund for unused time.

When the agreement ends, your licence to the app ends. Everything on your phone stays on your phone; we never had it.

No guarantees

We work hard to make Cueflow reliable, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcripts, take selection, edits or AI output will be accurate. Speed and quality depend on your iPhone model, iOS version and, for AI features, your connection.

Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived where you live.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: lost income, a missed brand deadline, a lost deal, lost data on your phone, or damage to your reputation from something you published.

Our total liability to you for everything arising from Cueflow in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Cueflow in those twelve months, or US$50 if you paid nothing.

These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for other losses that cannot be limited where you live.

Changes to Cueflow and to these terms

Cueflow will change. We add features, change plans, retire things that did not work. If a change takes something away from a plan you pay for, we will tell you in the app or by email before it happens.

We may update these terms too. The date at the top tells you when. For important changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Cueflow after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using Cueflow and cancel any subscription.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Cueflow is established, and disputes go to the courts of the country where Cueflow is established, unless the consumer law where you live says otherwise, in which case that law and those courts apply.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
